2006 Hugo shortlist
The shortlist
for the 2006 Hugo awards is now officially out, and
I'm very happy to announce that "Accelerando" is on the ballot for
best SF or Fantasy novel of 2005.
I'd like to congratulate everybody else who's on the Hugo ballot;
and I'd especially like to single out John Scalzi, who's still new
enough at this game that he's on the Campbell Award ballot for
best new writer as well.
Incidentally, if you're an eligible voter and haven't read
"Accelerando" yet, you can
download it for free
as an ebook. (Or get the paperback when it ships, probably
sometime in June.)
