Congratulations - and to think "Lobsters" was the first thing you brought to the East Coast SF Writers Group... :-)

That's brilliant, Charlie. You deserve it. You'll need to start looking for some sort of display cabinet for these awards and the ones to come. I think you'd better buy a big one.

And forever will you be known as "one of the other winners" since Neil Gaiman is also in the list...

Well - as always - I'm one of the last. But well done Mr Stross.
Really well deserved and I'm sure you'll be getting many more; Stepping stones to success eh!

Much applause here.
(For all that braintwisting *effort*, Accelerando deserves to win some awards, even if just the Blew the Readers' Minds Award. :) )

Congrats (shaking a celebratory fist)
Would have lost even the small granule of faith I have in book awards had it not.
I second the "Hugo next" sentiment. Damned well better be! (shaking an angry fist)

Congratulations.
I love the style, feel, and authenticity of Accellerando. It deserved to win!

Excellent! I think I have been boring my wife for months about how good this is.

Excellent job! I see Gaiman on there for fantasy, he is more of a top list author. Havent rwead him yet butt looks good. I guess I'll look at the book but there are so many new great woman fanatsy authors out this year too
I especially liked the Elector chapter. I think it showed how impossible it is to get what you want in a majority rules democracy whee only the upper percentage is considered. I am for democracy but more polling style, on websites for example, where all percentages are taken into consideration and gain benefit. Most people seem happy with the outcome. I call it a rolling democracy.
Also I hope we don't have to go through that much malfuntion to get to the Utopia. With all the free stuff at the end. We're doing pretty good with open source hardware lately.

Congratulations! Good to see that after numerous (well-deserved) nominations, it finally got the nod.
