Work in Progress/Open Thread

Yes, I know the layout looks hinky right now. Bear with us, please ...

Meanwhile.

Why is Frank Zappa dead and Donald Rumsfeld in the Pentagon? Feel free to discuss.

All right - Work in Progress Dept. -

- how long should I wait before reading the last chapter of the latest "Family" book? I sneaked a peek at the very end ... I think I can hang on for another three months, tops.

I've gotten to really like the main character, and I thought you got the US intelligence processes exactly, right. (shudder)

How did you create the language her kin use? Minor variations of Old Norse?

Just a point of information about the new blog. The "Site Index" link at the top is messed up, reading:

http://www.antipope.org/www.antipope.org/charlie/index.html

And this comment box is very small.

I think you need to make the division between each comment+name a little clearer. Yes, you can see that the names follow the comments, when you're at the start or the end, but, as I've found elsenet, it's a little too easy to misattribute something in the middle of a longer comment-thread.

Martha: the Merchant Princes books are being published at 12 month intervals, now. (I should be handing in a final draft of #4 in a couple of months, fo publication in March 2007.)

Others: expect some tweaking to page templates over the next few days ...
