Also more importantly you seemed to be describing a hard take off when you talked about corporations as AI's and also imply that these self same organisations are constantly improving themselves increasing their number of employees, numbers of cores, increasing integration of communication systems, increasing speed of communications, increasing their storage capacities etc
So what I took from your article was a perfect description of a hard take off after all how long did it take Google to go from nothing to negotiating with the Chinese and American governments.
