A few questions/comments about lighting: first, about the white LEDs: really? The phosphor-based ones have a double-hump spectrum with a very not-like-sunlight peak in the blue region. The RGB based ones have a strongly discontinuous spectrum. Second, how much of the spectrum can the plants actually use? Chlorophyll absorbs strongly near 665 and 465 nm. Why not try to emit mostly near those wavelengths, rather than imitating the full continuous solar spectrum up to UV and down to IR? Finally, photosynthetic rates plateau as illumination keeps going up, and the extra photons are just wasted as heat. IIRC in most...
