  I would guess that either it's "old" news (because the Grauniad broke it first), or because (wearing paranoid hat here) certain folks really don't want to see the WSJ go down with all hands during a period of maximum instability, and quiet phone calls have been made....

But then: A temple was worth a dozen barracks; a militia-man carrying a gun could control a small unarmed crowd only for as long as he was present; however, a single priest could put a policeman inside the head of every one of their flock, forever. Perhaps that's why such an evil survives?...
