Loved QoN, thank you - can't wait for SoS! I'd never wondered before about why no one ever sees the tooth fairy - great question, good source of nightmares for children! Minor formatting issue: "Flytrap skipped forward into the doorway"...

Steve O'Hara-Smith @ 913: Among all the mangled product references in the book there was a reference to 'Soylent' a joyless but nutritionally complete drink - did you know it's a real thing https://soylent.com/ ? If so is it really that bad ? Which came first? The beverage or the stupid Charlton Heston movie?...

I was also hoping that the Lost Boys would have...

Quantum of Nightmares: spoiler time!
One thing I didn't understand is why the Banks took so long (6 days?) to come back from Hawaii after the kidnapping of the children was noticed. They stayed there for the conference? Was it so important? I expected them to immediately fly back and start searching. Another oddity is that Nyarlathotep has allowed Elizabeth Windsor to keep acting as head of state. He clearly loves power, the appearance of power, and does not tolerate competition. Why would he suffer the indignity of (nominally) acting in her name? Why would he allow her to get the sweet mana of public...
