  It's harder to blackmail someone who feels no shame, like Trump. I suspect that if Russia did attempt to blackmail Trump he'd tell them to go ahead and publish, confident he could convince his supporters that Russia was just making stuff up to smear him, and that all the evidence against him had been faked by Russia. Trump wouldn't really get away with it that easily, but he's arrogant enough to believe he would. Also, there's a risk he might try to retaliate by interfering in Russian domestic politics or maybe even intervening in Ukraine....
