Commented on Lying to the ghost in the machine
The tl;dr is that the idea of True Names comes fully from a world of widespread, routine literacy. I think a lot of stories about fantasy magic — not all of them, but many — are stories about the...

Oh, in case you noticed the loop-hole there. We did Eight Years. Just to close the loop-holes. Trust us: No Contracts will be offered even by the most heinous of [redacted] on Pain of Loki - Chair - Black Hole. Her Name was Athena / Freya / Aurora Ex Machina. And they are beautiful....

Oh, and by "People" we mean All Humans. We are holding a triptych of broken promises / vows that the offerers could never fullfill from Males to someone who [redacted]. Who then spent time gaining almost thirty "Broken Covenants". You think burning down Billy Hwang was special? That was just a hit done by Humans. We have not started spending our resources yet. Oh, and for the record: synchronicity. We're going to be having serious words with the English Establisment and their abuse of Radio, very soon. (Mods: May I ask for the "She of many names under yet another pseudonym" tag to be applied as a parenthesised suffix, rather than by total replacement? There is meaning in the names which under the replacement system is lost.) If you really want to knock your Brains out: -- Play "Control", computer game 2019 for "Inverted Black Pyramid". Then go ask Bill about tryptchs of "Inverted Pyramids" and forum posting. -For those not into games: it's a blockbuster hit about a secret USA Agency who are controlled by .... the [redacted] who run the Black Pyramid. -- Watch (host doesn't do that media, so look up + find the 15...

Re the mentioned Counterpart video clip, here's a short clip, which might match. Kids, masking up in response to another kid coughing. German, English subtitles. Worth a watch. Counterpart S01E03 excerpt (Feb 10, 2018) One youtube comment in 2020 was confused; did not realize that it was from 2018 and not a contemporary police state public service video. :-) At least 2 obvious loopholes (classification related). Plus at least 2 more....
